Yo!

Welcome to my blog. I write reviews, impressions, news and generally anything else that interests me about video games and the Industry!

Gwent: The Witcher 3 Card Game finally wanders onto PlayStation 4

If you played The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, there's a large chance you've at least tried out Gwent, the collectible card meta game within the video game. If you enjoyed Gwent and have been eagerly awaiting the full release of Gwent: The Witcher Card Game, I may have some good news!

No, the game is not hitting full release just yet, but! While the game is still in beta, that beta has now been extended to PlayStation 4! That means for those of us who either don't have an Xbox One or a PC that can run Gwent very well, PlayStation 4 players can finally try out the game for themselves!

This weekend, from 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM BST on March 31 through to 11 PM PT on April 2 (2 AM ET / 7 AM BST on April 3), PlayStation players will finally be able to get their hands on it. The beta will be a free, open beta, this weekend only. Players will be able to build their own decks, run the tutorials (which I recommend), and finally play other live players in casual online card combat! Developer CD Projekt Red says this beta is to test the server capacity on PlayStation 4.

Gwent is here and open for everyone! PS Plus will not be required to play this beta, so it really is open to everyone. Microtransactions will be disabled for this beta, up until the full game releases.

No full release date has yet been announced, but I can only hope it's getting ever closer with this new beta. Be ready to throw down some Gwent cards on Friday, March 31!
