Monolith Productions Reveal Shadow Of War Gameplay
Last week, during GDC, Middle-Earth: Shadow of war, the sequel to the highly acclaimed Shadow of Mordor, was announced. Today, development studio Monolith Productions revealed 16 minutes of gameplay.
Talion has returned, and with the help of his Elven Wraith friend Celebrimbor, the pair have forged a new Ring of power. In Shadow of War, Talion seeks to take Sauron's armies of Orcs for himself, turning them against the Dark Lord with the power of the Bright Lord. The scale of the world in Shadow of War has been greatly increased, introducing entirely new territories, with fortresses and strongholds waiting to be taken over.
The Nemesis System (which I can't believe still hasn;t been implemented in some way in other games!) has been improved, and now creates more than stories of Orcs remembering you for a chance at revenge, but can create loyalties, betrayals, rivalries, and more.
Shadow of War is set to release on August 22 in the US, 25 in EU for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
