According to what looks like an accidental listing on PlayStation Store, the newest entry in the yearly Call of Duty franchise will be titled Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. The original image was posted by a Reddit User and verified by a number of other sites, including Gamespot, the image was taken from the trending section of the PlayStation Store where Infinite Warfare appears to be the title of the next game.
Even more than that, it would appear Call of Duty has had another leak. This one may appeal to some older Call of Duty fans, fans of the original series as it would appear that Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (or just Modern Warfare to most people) is being included with Infinite Warfare as a remake.
Opting to drop the 4, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, as it will be known, has been revealed through a pre-order card image from (once again) Reddit. Reddit seems set to spoil the world. Anyway, this seems to not only confirm the title Infinite Warfare, but it also gives a release date.
A November 4, 2016 date is prominently displayed on the card, indicating that as the release date. "Also Includes Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered," and shows that the remaster will be downloadable.
Activision normally makes these announcements around late April/early May, neither Activision nor Infinity Ward has said anything thus far. At this point, by the time they're ready, there may be nothing left to announce. Its possible they were planning to use Sony's PlayStation both at E3 this year to announce the new game, as Activision has already said they were not having their own booth this year at E3.
