Let's start with that: May 24. Alright, now on to the details.
May's update, titled Conflict, will add the new Incursion Clear Sky. Clear Sky pits players against the Rikers Gang who, in the wake of the Last Man Battalion retreat after Falcon Lost, have taken control of the airspace via anti-air missile launchers.
An official post on Ubisoft's blog site describes the update as thus:
"One of its biggest additions is Clear Sky, a brand new Incursion in Columbus Circle. Pitting Division Agents against Rikers, Clear Sky challenges you to take back a formerly LMB-controlled anti-air missile site, restore safe passage to the skies over Manhattan, and reclaim supply drops stolen by Rikers."
Also coming in this update is new High Value Targets, HVT for short, along with an HVT officer inside your Base of Operations. The officer can provide a list of targets, descriptions, and recommended gear score level. Much like the new Hitman's Elusive Targets mode, player will have a limited amount of time and only one shot at each of these targets. I suggest you take a team, no doubt they'll have a posse to clean up before the Boss gets involved.
Elsewhere, the Dark Zone is also getting a bit of a change, for better or worse. Not that your precious loot was safe before, but even once you've secured it to the extraction chopper it's still not safe.
"The Dark Zone will see some changes that are going to make extractions even more intense than they were before. Specifically, Agents will now have the option to hijack your loot. This means that a player can run to an extraction rope and cut it, causing all of the loot to fall to the ground."
If, by "intense" they mean "infuriating" then I entirely agree. The Dark Zone is already a tough sell for even the most dedicated Division fans, especially solo players like myself, so this is just adding insult to injury. Of course it'll take a moment for the Rouge to sort through it all and pick the best ones, by which time I assume players will have taken them out, but this is going to make Rogue groups even more of a hassle.
