World of Final Fantasy Gets a Cutesy New Trailer and Release Date

World of Final Fantasy will officially launch October 25 in North America for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. The trailer below shows off some of the game's mechanics and voice acting, though it does little in the way of explaining quite what is going on. 

World of Final Fantasy is a spin-off of the popular series with original characters in an original story, though it does feature many beloved characters from throughout the series long history. Square Enix is selling this one as an "entry point" title for newcomers of the series, but with plenty of nods to long-time fans as well. 

Set in the land of Grimoire, where all Final Fantasy characters reside, the game follows two protagonists - Reyne and Lann (if I heard that correctly)- as they make their way through this world in search of their mother. 

The trailer itself gives slight glimpses into the battle system, menus, exploration in both shrunk and normal forms, and bits and pieces of the story, all with nicely done English voice-acting.
