Red Dead Redemption 2 Release Date Confirmed, Pushed Out of Spring
Rockstar Games has officially confirmed Red Dead Redemption 2 will launch on October 26, 2018 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The announcement comes from the official Rockstar Games Blog. In the same blog post, Rockstar apologized for delaying the game a second time, citing that they "require a little extra time for polish".
RDR2 had initially aimed for a fall 2017 launch, but was delayed it to Spring 2018. With this new delay, this puts RDR2 in the Fall 2018 wagon, which promises to shake up the lineup this year.
The blog post also includes new screenshots for Redemption 2, possibly as an olive branch gesture. Those shots can be found below. After the initial trailer showed so little back in 2016 and the only subsequent trailer raised more questions than answers, I'm genuinely interested to see what gamers come up with after seeing these new shots. The one with a young woman riding on horseback alongside our supposed protagonist, Arthur Morgan, has my interest particularly piqued.
