PlayStation Plus owners get a bonus freebie this weekend. Metal Gear Survive is available to PS Plus subscribers for free this weekend. Starting now through Monday, June 4, Konami is allowing players to download a trial which includes the full game.
Progression made within the trial will carry over into the main game of a player decides to buy it. Should any player made such a decision, the game is discounted 30% until June 8 on the PlayStation store. This means one could pick up the game for $28 instead of the normal price $40.
Metal Gear Survive didn't get the most glowing reviews from fans for various reasons, not the least of which is because it's the first Metal Gear not helmed by series creator Hideo Kojima. Still, what's the is a decent light-survival game. And hey, for the low price of free, there are worse games to play on a weekend.
