We all knew it was coming eventually and now it has been confirmed: The PlayStation Classic console will be hitting store shelves (for all of a second before they’re snapped up) later this year.
Following Nintendo’s example, the PlayStation Classic will be 45% smaller than the original PlayStation and comes with 2 controllers mimicking the look of the original PlayStation controller. The PlayStation Classic also comes with 20 legendary games pre-loaded on the system. The first confirmed games include Final Fantasy VII, Wild Arms, Tekken 3, Ridge Racer Type 4, and Jumping Flash.
The PlayStation Classic will come with an HDMI cable, a USB cable, and the aforementioned two controllers in the styling of the original PS controller. The Classic will be available from December 3, though pre-orders are open now (grab it fast!). The PS Classic will cost $99 USD / $129 CAN. I’ll be sure to keep an eye on the PlayStation Blog to stay up to date on any new developments on the PS Classic and you be sure to hang around in my web for more news!
