Capcom Acknowledges Slow Communication, Strives to do Better

In a recent blog post from Capcom employee haunts, Capcom acknowledges issues in the game, as well as lay out plans for DLC releases. The post it titled "Updates on Street Fighter V Development Vol. 1", the Vol 1 part leading to the belief that there will be more. Capcom seems committed to this. Good for you, Capcom.

The blog post begins by apologizing for being slow to communicate what's going on with the plans for their popular fighter and how those plans change.

We’ll be the first to admit that we can improve our communication with the community, in terms of where our priorities lie around the game and status updates.  We plan to change that in the coming weeks and months and will work to quickly address topics that come up in the community as best we can.

haunts goes on to say that Ibuki, the next planned DLC character for Street Fighter V, will hit late June, rather than the originally planned late May. Specifically, the last week in June. Seems regardless of whatever happened to cause the delay, they've decided it best to package Ibuki with the new Cinematic Story Mode coming, end of June as well.

To reiterate, we are currently aiming for the last week of June to release both Ibuki and the Cinematic Story Mode.

The post continues with addressing issues with input lag by saying that they've "heard reports of input delay and have shared it with the development team. They are currently looking into the reports and we will let you know as soon as we find out more." They're also working on Rage Quit issues, noting that their latest fix has "brought the amount of players who disconnect during matches down by roughly 60%." Sounds like good numbers to me.

The post closes by telling readers to expect more news "in the coming days and weeks," and be sure to follow @StreetFighter.

And while we're plugging twitters, go ahead and follow me at @OmegaSpider227, and be sure to hit me up in the comments below if you've got any thoughts on this (and I'm sure someone does).
