Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite release date and other details announced

Capcom announced earlier today that Marvel VS Capcom: Infinite will launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on Sept 19. A new story trailer was also released, giving new details on the story's main villain, Ultron Sigma. A devilish combination of Marvel's Ultron and Sigma from Mega Man X.

Capcom also released details on two new editions. Because, you know, every game has to have multiple editions now.

The Deluxe Edition will include the first six post-launch characters, starting with Sigma.  This one will run you $89.99.

The Collector's Edition includes statues of Mega Man X, Chun-Li, Iron Man, and Captain Marvel, all of which interlock for battle scene awesomeness. It also come with a box set of glowing Infinity Stones, "premium packaging", and of course the Deluxe Edition. All this for the measly price of  $199.99.

Capcom also announced in a blog post details on the first eight fighters joining the roster.

  • Ultron
  • Thor
  • Hulk
  • Hawkeye
  • Rocket Raccoon
  • Chun-Li
  • Strider Hiryu
  • Chris Redfield

Combined with the fighters revealed at PSX, Ryu, Mega Man X, Iron Man, and Captain Marvel, the current roster totals 12 fighters.
