Yesterday two new Pokémon grants were announced for Nintendo Switch. Pokémon: Let's Go Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let's Go Eevee! were both announced as coming to the Nintendo Switch this fall, along with a trailer, which you can check out below.

The trailer showcases a lot of new gameplay, including new ways to catch and interact with your favorite Pokémon. The trailer showed off a whole lot more, from having different Pokémon trail behind you to riding Pokémon, to dressing up Pikachu and Eevee in cute little outfits, to even Mewtwo making an appearance! There's a lot in this trailer to unpack, so let's get to it!

First off, the catch system from Pokémon will be the same system used in Pokémon GO, playable with a single Joy-Con. Using only one Joy-Con opens up new possibilities, like co-op!

Speaking of, Pokémon Let's GO allows the second Joy-Con to be used by another player for two-player co-op. Having a second player along looks incredibly helpful in the trailer in regards to catching Pokémon. Being a hybrid of GO and the core Pokémon RPGs, the battle system has seen some tweaks but it will still be immediately recognizable to fans. The trailer also shows co-op battling.

The trailer also introduced the Poké Ball Plus. The new Poké Ball shaped device can be used in place of a Joy-Con, and can also pair with the Pokémon GO app acting as Pokémon GO Plus. The Poké Ball Plus can also house one of your favorite Pokémon, to take out on the town with you, lighting up and making cute little Pokémon sounds.

Pokémon Let's Go! will connect with the Pokémon GO app directly, so Pokémon caught in the app can be transferred to the game automatically. There are also other ways the game connect to the app as shown in the trailer.

Finally (really, truly, the last point), the trailer ended with a release date! Pokémon Let's Go! will launch on November 16, 2018!
