PlayStation Now Gets Global Price Cut
PlayStation’s premium game streaming, PS Now, is getting a new, lower price. This lower price is not a limited time thing, this is the new, standard price.
The new monthly price will be $9.99/£8.99, versus $19.99/£12.99. The new quarterly (3-months) price will be $24.99/ £22.99 versus the previous $44.99 in the US. This will mark the first time quarterly subscriptions will be available outside the US. The yearly subscription will be available for $59.99/£49.99, versus the original $99.99/£84.99.
These new prices are immediately active, so new customers will only see these new prices. If you already had a subscription, however, you’re covered there too. Existing customers will see the new prices reflected on their next bill immediately. Now, your bank account or credit card need not feel haunted by the ghost of prices past.
Alongside these new prices, Sony also revealed news that new games would be added to the servce on a monthly basis, starting this month with God of War (2018), inFAMOUS: Second Son, and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, and Grand Theft Auto V. These new, premium games will be on a rotating schedule, however, and these four specifically are going to be rotated out on January 2, 2020, so if you’ve yet to dive into Kratos’ newest adventure with his son Atreus, get it done!
As previously stated, these new changes are live right now, so go out there and slay some Draugr! Or take down some D.U.P. agents, or something. Get out there, play some games, save some money doing it!
