New State of Play Announced and Dated
Sony have recently announced that a new State of Play would be livestreamed to us, the viewing public in the near future.. The VERY near future, it seems, as the next State of Play is set to go live on Tuesday, September at at 4:00 pm ET/at 1:00 pm PT.
This news hits us from the PlayStation Blog, as well as a cute teaser from Twitter, home of all the real news. At around 20 minutes, PlayStation are expecting this one to be longer than previous State of Play streams. That’s longer than the May State of Play, which came in around the 13 minute mark, and on par with the initial State of Play back in March, which was just under 20 minutes as well.
In that 20 minutes we can expect to see some new game reveals, something new from Sony Worldwide Studios (maybe hear something about the new Insomniac Studios acquisition), and “a host of other updates.” Whatever that means. I guess we’ll find out what that means next Tuesday!
Finally, the Blog post mentions that they won’t be sharing anything about their next-gen plans this time around. Is anyone really bummed about that one though? Personally, I’m not expecting any kind of news on that front for a few more months. Until then, we have this to look forward to, and only a few days away!
Of course, once things are ready and set to go live, you can catch all the news at all the usual channels; the official PlayStation Twitch, Twitter, YouTube, and Facebook accounts.
