Gearbox Software Reveals Borderlands 3 Release Date

Alongside a new gameplay trailer, Gearbox Software released some information about Borderlands 3, including the new Vault Hunters, the new villains, and the many ways to buy the game. There’s a lot to get into so let’s jump right into it.

First things first, Borderlands 3 has been confirmed to release on Sept 13, 2019! That means we have roughly 5 months to wait for one of the most suddenly hyped games of this year (suddenly hyped because the game was only revealed to be real just last week). Gearbox also released an “official announce trailer” that gives us a quick look at the new Vault Hunters, the new Villains, and new locales (if you’re eagled-eyed enough to spot them).

So! New Vault Hunters:

• Moze as THE GUNNER: When Moze needs backup, she digistructs her mech –Iron Bear– for a sucker punch of additional firepower.

• Amara as THE SIREN: A confident, capable brawler with the ability to summon ethereal fists, Amara uses her Siren powers to smash her enemies.

• FL4K as THEBEASTMASTER: FL4K lives for the hunt. So do the loyal beasts that follow their master’s every command. Their preferred prey? Unsuspecting bandits, those poor suckers.

• Zane as THEOPERATIVE: Specializing in battlefield gadgetry, Zane is extremely proficient at slipping into combat, creating chaos, and sneaking back out as if he were never there.

And the new villains, the ominous Calypso Twins, cult leaders out to unite the bandit clans and obtain the ultimate power in the galaxy (whatever that is). Along with saving the galaxy, players will travel beyond what they know on Pandora to new worlds, with new environments, new landscapes, and new enemies. Ravaged cities, deadly swamps, and hostile deserts, and more await our new Vault Hunters.
