State of Play Announced for May 9!
According to a new post on the PlayStation Blog from PlayStation Director of Social Media Sid Shuman, a new State of Play update video is coming soon. Like, real soon! Like, this Thursday, May 9th soon!
Tune in Thursday, May 9 at 6 p.m. PT/3 p.m. ET for what Shuman says will be a shorter one State of Play update: roughly ten minutes or so. In that ten minutes, the game to get the spotlight this time will be PlayStation Worldwide Studios’ MediEvil remake.
There will also be a new game unveiled, which is interesting as Ubisoft also teased a new Ghost Recon announcement slated for that same day. There was also nothing said about VR, which is interesting considering how VR-heavy the first State of Play was earlier this year. Shuman also took a moment to state there will be no mention of next-gen hardware:
One note: Don’t expect any updates relating to our next-generation plans this time. Sorry!
The video will be live streamed at all the usual places: Twitch, YouTube, and Twitter. Be sure to tune in Thursday, May 9 at 6 p.m. ET for all the news. I’ll be summarizing as much as I can afterward.
