New Red Dead Redemption 2 Shows Off More Open-World Activities
We’re less than a month away now, and new trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2 has arrived from the everlasting hype train that is the run-up to Red Dead Redemption 2’s October release date. This new trailer shows off some new ways to interact with the lawless frontier.
This new trailer shows ho players will engage in new adventures in a more natural way. These ventures can vary wildly, from such grand events as pulling a bank heist or holding up a train to smaller, more intimate escapades with member of your gang, or even random folks you meet out in the wilds. The video also showcased a few changes to the Deadeye system. It seems the ability can be upgraded in tiers now. It’ll be interesting to see how that pans out.
There’s also a quick look at customization options on offer. Of course there’s lots of outfits to wear and horses to ride, but also smaller things like choosing what to eat, what guns you carry, and how many, and even choosing to take care of Arthur’s personal hygiene, such as shaving and bathing. Or don’t! It’s up to you and NPCs will react accordingly. Not to mention all the side activities, like games to play, dancing, bar fights, duels, and of course there’s always the occasional bounty to collect, and more. Speaking of bounties, mind you don’t get one on your head or you’ll be the one hunted.
This new trailer also gave us a quick look at the game’s first-person view and “cinematic” camera shots. Red Dead Redemption will be coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One October 26, and I can’t wait for it! I’m sure you can’t either!
