Following the Walmart Canada leak last week and a few teasers, Bethesda released a reveal trailer yesterday and a full gameplay trailer today. Both can be found below.
Rage aims to be what Bethesda is calling a "AAAAAA" game, as its being developed by two AAA studios together.
The press release reads, "Born from a collaboration of the gods of shooters, id Software, and the masters of open-world mayhem, Avalanche Studios, Rage 2 packs a carnival of carnage so intense it can only come from two legendary AAA studios. That's right, this is a f***ing AAAAAA game."
While the initial live-action reveal trailer must have rubbed some people the wrong way, the gameplay trailer certainly seems to have garnered quite a bit of interest.
The over-the-top nature of the game looks reminiscent of the Borderlands series, leading some to speculate on how the two of them will coexist in the market when they both release. Currently, Rage 2 is only slated for a "Spring 2019" release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
In the meantime, feel free to watch that gameplay again. Looks zany.
