DICE have announced that the Battlefield V open beta will be available on Sept 6, with those who pre-order gaining early access on Sept 4. Those two days may not seem a whole lot to you or me, but to those players who really enjoy their shooters, its at least a couple centuries' time to practice. That Sept 4 date includes players who pre-order as well as both tiers of Origin Access members and EA access.
The open beta will make use of the Rotterdam map, the map which was featured in the most last trailer, the one with the Battle Royale teaser at the end. The Rotterdam map will drop players into "a battle fought throughout the streets of Holland where the game's dynamic physicality and destruction will be on full display." The beta will also see the debut of the Grand Operations mode, the newest mode which takes historical events and makes some slight tweaks as players play through multiple maps and modes over the course of 4 in-game days.
Players who pre-order the game will gain early access not only to the beta, but also to the full game three days early on October 16. Origin Access Premier and Basic members on PC, as well as EA Access members on Xbox One, will be able to play on October 11.
For everyone else not included in those previously named groups, Battlefield V launches on October 19 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
